The VR Reels are the latest evolution of Van Staal spinning reels. Fully sealed, with a lightweight 6061 aluminum construction, and a powerful waterproof drag system. They come from the factory with a bail and a bailless conversion kit so you can fish them however you like.

I have 4 VR reels all perform perfectly, be it Striped Bass or monster Bluefish my VR 200 get the job done. The VR 50 is my go to for Florida trips targeting Redfish, Snook and small to medium Tarpon. The reels are light and the drags preformed perfectly every time.

Vr 50 on a 7 foot medium can do anything from flats fishing, to handing slot/over slot snook and mid sized tarpon. I run it with 15lb power pro on a 7ft medium st croix avid. Absolute tank

The reel is fine , but your customer service stinks to put it nicely.Filled out the form and phone number took over a week to get contacted and that was useless.All I wanted was the manual that was missing from reel box and was told I could send the reel to them if I wanted to remove bail, it comes with the parts to convert it if I want, why should it be sent back to them .Customer service rep was useless
